Cranberry Sauce is another Thanksgiving staple that you will find on just about every Thanksgiving table . Hey that rhymes!!
The cranberry sauce that I grew up seeing can straight out of a can. We would open the can shake it a couple times upside down and voila cranberry sauce. Sauce? No. More like cranberry jello that is sliced and served as a solid.
Not this year, this Thursday at our table we will have a sweet and tart Homemade Cranberry Sauce.
This Cranberry sauce is another super quick and simple recipe that I think I will be incorporating into my normal repertoire throughout the year. Here are the reasons why
- It’s beautiful!
- It’s delicious.
- It’s somewhat healthy.
Homemade Cranberry SaucePrint Recipe
- 12 oz fresh cranberries
- 1 1/4 cup plain apple cider (not spiced)
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/3 cup erythritol
Place rinsed cranberries and apple cider into a pot set medium high -stir
As the cider begins to boil and the cranberries begin to pop add the maple syrup and the erythritol -stir
Once sauce begins to thicken lower heat and continue stirring.
Continue stirring until the sauce reaches your desired thickness.
Remove from heat and either refrigerate or serve warm.
