Who doesn’t love pumpkin pie? Oh me pick me. Yep… “Hi, my name is Carolina and I don’t like pumpkin spice anything”. Shameful isn’t it? BUT don’t fret. I am surrounded by people that love pumpkin spice and threaten to dissolve our friendships if I speak one foul word about pumpkin spice anything. So you are in luck my friends, let pumpkin season begin!
First on the list for pumpkin spice recipes that I have put together for all of you beautiful people is a Paleo Pumpkin Pie Protein Smoothie. We are talking pumpkin, those “delicious” spices, almond butter, maple syrup, almond milk, banana, coconut oil, some collagen, AAHHHHHHH! Amazing. Well if you are in to that kind of thing. OK all joking aside, I loved this smoothie’s pre-spice flavor so that is how I enjoyed it. Deal with it! My husband on the other hand, took in all that the season has to offer and LOVED IT and I hope you will too.
Paleo Pumpkin Pie Protein SmoothiePrint Recipe
- 3/4 cup almond milk
- 1 serving of collagen peptides protein powder
- 1/2 frozen banana
- 7 tbsp canned pumpkin puree
- 1 tbsp coconut oil
- 1 tbsp almond butter
- 2 tsp maple syrup
- 1/2-1 tsp pre-mixed pumpkin pie spice (cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and all spice)
Combine all ingredients in a high powered blender.
Top with any and all ingredients that you like to munch on.
If you just want to drink your smoothie instead of chewing it, just forgo the toppings and stick a reusable straw in your cup and go to town!
